These prices became effective March 15, 2006.  Please do not send registration applications and/or photos to the office via email.  Files may be corrupted or lost in transit.

KMSHA SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR SERVICES
Temporary Registration (and prior to certification):
Foals 1 to 6 months old:		$ 30
Foals 6 months or older:		$ 55
* Stud colts and Fillies - both sire and dam must be registered and certified to breed KMSHA at the time of birth of the foal. **Geldings - if one parent or neither parent is certified to breed, the foal must be filmed or observed by a minimum of ONE licenses KMSHA Examiner ***Beginning January 1, 2007 - all foals are required to have DNA on record for proof of parentage for temporary registration papers; and before certification and/or permanent registration.
Certification of Mares and Geldings Under Saddle:		$ 30
Both Sire and Dam must be registered and certified KMSHA prior to foal's birth
Certification of Stallions Under Saddle:		$ 40
Both Sire and Dam must be registered and certified KMSHA prior to foal's birth.
Requirements for Permanent Registration (above):  Temporary Registration Certification, Video or two Licenses Examiners Signatures required, plus 5 photos: back, front, both sides, under chin.  DNA is required to be on file with the University of Kentucky for "Proof of Identity"
Registration/Certification of Geldings:		$ 75
Currently don't have a Sire or Dam registered and certified with KMSHA
Appendix Mares		$ 75
Currently don't have a Sire or Dam registered with the KMSHA
Registration/Certification of Mares:		$ 85
Mares over four years of age that have not been certified due to the age requirements or Mares that may be approved to be grandfathered into the Association and/or registered with another Mountain Horse Breed.
Registration/Certification of Stallions:		$ 100
Stallions over four years of age that have not been certified due to the age requirement or Stallions that may be approved to be grandfathered into the Association and/or registered with another Mountain Horse Breed.
Requirements for Permanent Registration (above): Both an under saddle and Conformation video or two licensed Examiners signatures are required, plus 5 photos: back, front, both sides, under the chin.  DNA is required to be on file with the University of Kentucky for "Proof of Identity".
Permanent Registration:  All KMSHA and SMHA Horses must be certified to breed by their fourth birthday.  Temporary registration certificate will expire on any KMSHA/SMHA 4 year old horse who is not certified as of December 31, 2006 and thereafter on their fourth birthday. If the registration papers have expired on any horse due to this directive, new papers will  be issued only upon completion of official Certification of each horse. This applies to all Stallions, Mares and Geldings and will certify that they have now met the "Standard of the Breed".

 

SMHA SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR SERVICES

Permanent Registration:  Beginning January 1, 2007, DNA will be required to be on file with the University of Kentucky for Proof of Identity for SMHA registered and/or certified horses.
Certification of Mares and Geldings Under Saddle:		$ 30
Certification of Stallions Under Saddle:		$ 40
