“FOUNDATION” HORSES
TEMPORARY CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION:

Foals 1 to 6 months old:	40.00
Foals 6 to 12 months:	70.00
Foals over 1 year	100.00
All foals are required to submit hair for DNA or have DNA on record with an approved registry and supply a copy to KMSHA at time of registration.   Starting 2012 – both sire and dam must be registered & certified KMSHA/SMHA at the time of foals registration.

Requirements - Temporary Registration Certificate; Video or 2 Licensed Examiners Signatures, 5 Photos: back, front, both sides, under the chin. DNA is to be on record with KMSHA.   All horses 4 years old and older must be Certified.

Gelding - one registered & certified KMSHA/SMHA parent or a gaited horse parent that meets the KMSHA/SMHA Breed Standard   Stallion and Mare - both sire and dam must be registered & certified KMSHA/SMHA before foal is registered   All horses must pass inspection of 2 Licensed Examiners or submit a video proving gait and that they meet the Breed Standard.  Submit 5 photos and have DNA on file

Permanent Registration:
 

Starting in 2012, all 4 year old* and older KMSHA/SMHA horses must be gait and breed Certified or their Temporary Registration Certificate will expire and the owner will have to completely re-register the horse.  Horses born prior to December 31, 2011 will still need to be certified and may do so without penalty until December 31, 2012.

KMSHA/SMHA at the time FOAL IS REGISTERED

“APPENDIX” TEMPORARY CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION

Foals 1 to 6 months old:	40.00

All foals are required to submit hair for DNA or have DNA on record with an approved registry and supply a copy to KMSHA at time of registration.   Starting 2012 – must be a typical Mountain type horse who has a Mountain horse or gaited horse ancestry that is approved for Appendix registration.   If an “Appendix” registered horse is bred it must be to a KMSHA/SMHA registered & certified horse for their offspring to be fully KMSHA/SMHA registered.

Must be a typical Mountain type horse who has a Mountain horse or gaited horse ancestry and is approved for registration   Is not by 2 KMSHA/SMHA registered and certified parents.   All horses must pass inspection of 2 Licensed Examiners or submit a video proving gait and that they meet the Breed Standard.  Submit 5 photos and have DNA on file with KMSHA/SMHA   If an “Appendix” registered horse is bred it must be to a KMSHA/SMHA registered & certified horse for their offspring to be fully KMSHA/SMHA registered.

Name(s) will be listed in KMSH NEWS and on a permanent Honorary Plaque to be displayed at the New Headquarters of KMSHA/SMHA in Lexington. Also a special gift will be presented to Lifetime members to show KMSHA’s gratitude.

Lifetime Membership Single: includes one identified membership for life:	400.00
Lifetime Membership Family: includes Husband and Wife and one child under 17 years of age:	600.00
